Wool growers urged to keep records for wool incentive payments

Wool growers who marketed lambs this fall should keep adequate records of their sales to aid proper applications for payment next spring under the wool incentive program. The county ASC committee chairman Dallas F. Walker urged today that sales records include the buyer’s name, signature, and the number of liveweight lambs sold with the description unshorn. Lamb payments apply only to lambs that have never been shorn.

Recordkeeping urged for lamb sales and future payments

Mr. Walker urges growers to gather fall sales records now and store them safely or file at the county ASC office. The final date to apply for 1959-60 marketings is April 30, with applications accepted anytime before then. The chairman notes lamb feeders must keep records of ownership length as payments go to producers who owned lambs 30 days or more based on weight gain.
