Farmers Hold an Organization Meeting
The National Farmers' Organization held a meeting at the McCreary sale barn in Center ville Monday night and elected county officers John Lindaskoog as president Guy Argo as vice president Clifford Burger as secretary and Tony Shéston as treasurer. They issued objectives including 100 percent parity for farm products and surpluses controls. They petition the agriculture department to establish floor prices of about $20 per hundred for butcher hogs and $30 per hundred for good to choice cattle. They pledge cooperation with the department in a long range program and oppose violence. Frank Brain 68 dies from head and chest injuries after a head on collision near Bedford Iowa while en route home from Thanksgiving with wife Mrs Brain 58 who was killed instantly Luther Steele of Jacksonville Indiana drove the opposing car. Frank Brain born near Moravia Iowa later moved to Wyoming had four daughters and four sons and 95 year old father Albert Brain survives along with three brothers and four sisters.
