Afternoon visitors were Mrs Blanche Wells of Bloomfield Mrs Iadine Wella of Pulaski and Mrs Herold Haff and Tammy Underwood of Blakesburg. Mr and Mrs Laurence Dommer Phillip and Randy and Mr and Mrs LaVern Horn and children enjoyed a picnic supper at Lake Wapello Sunday evening. Attendance at Sunday school was 15 with several attending the state fair. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Rinehart and Cindy visited their son in Columbus Ohio. Local families hosted dinners and visited kin, including the Ward, Burger, Kiefer, and Proctor families, with trips to a Summers reunion at Rathbun dam and an alumni banquet in Leonard Missouri. Several youths suffered minor mishaps, and church events featured Rev Pierson’s installation at Fairview Church of the Brethren.
