A wide passage of Unionville residents recounts a three week auto trip home to Omaha Nebraska for Rav Wikon and family and Miss Grace Furrie. They were joined by Ernest Procter and family.
Rev Rowe filled his appointment here Sunday. The Ladies Aid enjoyed a day with Mrs Roy Majora. The Its Club met with Mrs Sadie Rouse. A large nine cer was present. Farm Bureau ladies meet with Mrs Roy Ellison all day Wednesday. Mrs Will Steele and family visited Ottumwa and Oskaloosa Saturday. Loren attended summer school and returned with them. Mr and Mrs Joe Albertson and son Clinton visited relatives in Fairfield. Families visited Clarence Ellis home Sunday. Numerous Clark family members visited J A Clark home. Ralph Spencer and Billy Spencer visited R C Humphrey Sunday. Mrs Kingery and Batty returned from Gruthrie Center. Bruce Spencer and family visited Darby home in Albia. Morning Star Club and friends attended a party at J A Albertson’s with popcorn candy orange-ade ice cream and cake.
Mr and Mrs H E Glick attended reunions in Powersville and Centerville Park with relatives including Dwight Delmar J R B Calten and Des Moines visitor Hazel Callen. Other gatherings featured Old Settlers at Unionville and various family calls as neighbors shared meals and travel news.
Mrs Tow Catherill and Vivien Caylor visited the David Caylor home for most of the week. Mr and Mrs Julie Tadlock were visiting the Tee T-41ock home on Thursday.
On Thursday morning Jessa Lloyd and her husband viewed the old home site now owned by W N Miller. Lloyd, away forty years, found hills unchanged. Logan Strunk is preparing a foundation for a new barn. Mr and Mrs B L Gordon and Elsie visited James Wood's home. The W N Miller family attended the Hudgens reunion at Unionville after church. Mr and Mrs Claud Paris spent Sunday with Ray Coltrain. Miss Inez Miller returned home for a short visit.
Chloe Beaty spent last week at the A J Brown home. Mrs Joy Argo underwent an operation at Abbot hospital in Oska loosa and is getting along fine. Gerald and Valera Smith visited Sunday at the Weas Scott home. Rev Matsler and family spent Sunday at the Glen Sufficool home. Alvin Murphy and family spent weekend with relatives. Arjo Funkhouser and family spent Saturday at the L L FunkHouser home. Mrs Frank Argo had tonsils removed and other minor operations at Abbot hospital. Mr and Mrs Harry Brown and son LeRoy visited Centerville Saturday. Mr and Mrs Gray Penfield and son Jack visited. Mr and Mrs Ebbe Breese and son Lester were callers in Centerville. Mr and Mrs Linyd Beaty spent weekend at Harve Beaty home. W E Kelsey and son Pearl visited. Mr and Mrs John McAnnnich motor to Oska loosa Sunday. Mr and Mrs George Argo and children spent weekend at parental H Bressler LeRoy.
