Gene McDanel underwent tonsil removal at Monroe County Hospital and returned home Saturday. Relatives and neighbors, including Kim McDanel and Linda McDanel, visited and spent time with him. Local residents shared visits, dinners, and gatherings at several homes and during a Tupperware party, with many stops around town.

Moravia Town Council April 15 1969 Proceedings
Moravia Town Council met in a special session with Mayor Rex Angel presiding. Present were Policy committee members from the Moravia Booster club, discussing the sewer project with FHA State Director Arden Newell and Congressman John Kyl. They planned to meet soon to push the Sanitary Sewer System start. A motion to join the County-wide Civil Defense Authority passed. A cigarette permit for Jake's Standard Service to Ted's Novelty Company was canceled. The meeting adjourned with Mayor Angel and Clerk Charles Turner declaring adjournment.
