Aging Commission grants Iowa Senior Community Service Program
Iowa Commission on the Aging receives nearly 400 009 to fund a subsidized part time program for 100 workers aged 55 and older beginning July 1 1977 through June 30 1978. Partners include AARP and National Retired Teachers Association with the Iowa Farmers Union Green Thumbs. Allocation by 13 Area Agencies on Aging to place openings. Participants work in day care schools senior centers hospitals and conservation projects.

The 1976 77 year left Iodian Hills Community College in the black for the first time since 1966 dean Carl Radosevich said. The year ended with about 135000 in reserves and a potential reserve target of 333000 to cover payroll and costs.
