The 58th annual Boyer reunion will be held at Moravia park on Tuesday August 16. Grace Main serves as secretary for the gathering.

The Morayie Bend Mothers club will hold an ice cream social Saturday night after the band concert. Cpl Donnie Kaster of Fort Sill Oklahoma is spending the week there with his parents Mr and Mrs Forrest Kaster and his wife Mary and sons Roger and Rodney. Sunday guests were Mr and Mrs Dean Kaster of Unionville and Mr and Mrs Larry Kaster of Centreville. Mr and Mrs Kaster and Seely family attended the wedding of Mina Jerry Waster and Ray Daman Sunday afternoon.

Raymond Johnson Enlists in Army at Centerville

Army recruiter Sgt James Ubl reports Raymond B D Johnson of Unionville among recent enlistees. He joins the Army Corps of Engineers and will begin basic training at Camp Chaffee Arkansas before engineering duties. Moravia School hires two new faculty for opening Aug 29

The Moravia board of education approved hiring Arlene Rinehart as homemaking instructor, a graduate of Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. Rinehart will teach her first year. Seventh grade instructor vacancy filled by Rena Duff of Mystic, who is completing college requirements at Centerville Junior College and has 11 years teaching experience in the Long district near Rathbun.

Junior Garden Club Hab Show Saturday at E U B church

The Junior Garden Club show is set for Saturday in the E U B church basement with public viewing at 2:00 p.m. Entries include specimen flowers, vegetables, houseplants, educational scrapbooks, corsage for the queen, and artistic arrangements such as The Queen of Hearts and Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.

Urbana Dooes Meet With Ward Sisters

A special all day Urbana Dota workshop was held at the home of Linda and Nancy Ward with our leader Edna Ward on July 9 1955. A potluck dinner at noon followed. Members sanded shellaced and painted small wooden boxes and drew designs. Thirteen members two leaders and 12 visitors attended.

4-H Livestock Show Highlights Top Hereford and Angus Honors

Dale Maddison and John Murdy traveled to oversee the show where Richard Davis of Bluff Creek Progressives led the Hereford entries. Gary Chority led the Angus awards with grand champion honors and multiple placings. Winners included Tommy Hollenake, Larry Wilkins, Larry Amos, Ronald VanZante, Mark VanZante, Paul Turner, and Ronnie Hutchinson earning blue ribbons in various classes.
