Zell Wilsons visited Eph Wilson’s home. H M Smith had a crew repairing roads and drainage near O G Davis and Dutch DuVall. Vivien Wilson married Fern Wright from near Moulton. Burk Wilson finished Elmora School term with a Wiener roast. Milwaukee railroad crew left Moravia for Brompton after completing work locally.

In Appanoose County Iowa Hawkeye Life Insurance Company sues W H Callen and I M Callen among many defendants seeking judgment for 12722.50 plus interest and costs and the foreclosure of a mortgage on extensive real estate in Section 26 Township 70 Range 17 including North Half of Northwest Quarter and other parcels. The petition asks appointment of a receiver to manage rents during foreclosure and warns defendants to answer by August Term 1981 otherwise default and judgment will be entered.
The Grant Sincox home hosted E. G. Sincox and family along with Andy Madison, Herman Johnson, and Henry Sytsma. Geo Darby and Alex Johnson shopped in Moravia on Saturday. Mrs Willie Van Dorin and children are on the sick list this week. G Sincox visited Grandma Sincox in Rexfield Saturday. Mr and Mrs Pat Fisher of Albia visited Ed Johnson’s home Sunday afternoon. E G Sincox and family spent Sunday at C E Tyrrel’s home in Albia. Herman Johnson attended Sunday events.
Zoll Wilson and family joined others for a Sunday gathering at Eph Wilson's residence near Grant Lineox. Neighbors reported a quiet afternoon with friendly conversation and refreshments.
Mrs. Georgia Pangburn and children visited Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Fenton on Sunday. Tarbell and Hammond families were guests of relatives. Mayme Callen wrap up a successful school term with a picnic for about 100 attendees and prizes for perfect attendance, including Clark Prisbe and Lucille Prisbe among others. A newborn Walter LaVerne Gladfelder was born Tuesday at Centerville General Hospital to Lyndon and Mrs McDanel, who returned home Friday. Teachers for the coming year are listed. Community visits and social calls populate the week with many named residents and local stops.
