Ensign Lester Dooley of Moravia lost his billfold during Navy maneuvers in the Caribbean. Shrimp fishermen near a Panama island recovered the billfold two months later and turned it in at the Pacific Naval station. The cards were intact except for about $15 missing, apparently taken by a shipmate.

Truxton Dicks and Delmont Moffitt called on Gene McGuire at Leon hospital where Gene is recovering from a haymow fall injuries.

Families and friends visit, bake sale help in Albia and multiple visits and gatherings listed throughout the region including Davenport Des Moines Ottumwa and Centerville.

Jim Buchan from Centerville visited Richard Hoffman Sunday. Joe Harmon couple dined with Kenneth Fisher Sunday. H F Whitehead and Pearl Shahan visited Olen Dimmitt Ottumwa with Wyman Brown from Gary Ind.
Mrs Carl Weber attended the Iowa Christian Womens Fellowship workshop at Bloomfield Christian church in Bloomfield Indiana on Sunday April 25 1965. Funeral services for Charles Winans were held at Miller Wherle Funeral Home Monday with attendees including Mr and Mrs John Cridelbaugh Mr and Mrs Clarence Hunt Mrs Minnie Moffatt and Mr and Mrs Carl Weber.
Dotson and husband and her niece Mrs. Carl Whisler and husband visit. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ogden visit at Howard Burkland home. Ricky Burkland spends time with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Burkland. Kenny Tadlock plans a few days in Udell due to high waters hindering work. Minnie Moffatt visits Mrs. Marshall Hedgecock and Mr. and Mrs. John Dotson. Lester Gordon and family dine with them. Howard Burkland family join Gerald Covington for supper in Centerville. Minnie Moffatt visits Emma Ray at Luse Nursing Home. Hazel Powell and Marilyn visit Maude Jones at Frank Roach’s in Centerville. Carl Burkland’s birthday noted.

Notable names include Janet Rhee 95.50, Richard Mosley 98.25, Gracie Rowena Cox 98.25, Lorraine Johnson 95.40, Joyce Roberts 96.00, and several others with scores from 92.00 to 98.25. Honorable mentions cover ninth through twelfth grades with multiple students named.
The Adell Helping Neighbor's club met at Goldie Hunt's home for a cooperative dinner and business meeting. Mrs. Maggie Brown opened with a poem titled Club Meets Tonight. Members shared what they earned from trading stamps. Ollie Houser received a birthday gift from a mystery friend. Lucile Matthews got an anniversary card promising a future gift.
Hazel Powell shared photos and artifacts from a Hawaii trip to a daytime program. She described boarding a San Francisco jet, airport receptions on Oahu, beaches with shells and lava, local foods, flowers, music, and a 80 degree climate while answering questions from attendees. Guests included Lucile, Maurine, Minnie, Goldie, Maggie, Flossie, Hazel, Marilyn, Muriel, Ollie, Jah, Ruby, Ella, Clarence Hunt, Ora Powell. Next meeting May 11 features a flower exchange with Minnie Moffatt. roll call will be a Mother related poem.

Bridal attendants Miss Judy Odgen Mrs Patty Pirtle sisters of the bride. Bridegroom attendants Larry Felton brother of the bridegroom and Mike West. Mrs Felton employed as Auto Clerk at the County Treasurer Office in Centerville. Mr Felton employed by the State Tax Commission in Des Moines. After a short wedding trip the couple will make their home on a farm south of Unionville.
