Bruce Faber, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Faber, enjoys a three weeks trip through England, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, and Luxembourg and will return to his base in Germany on April 4. Army Pvt. Thomas M. Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Murphy, Route 1, Melrose, has been assigned to the 1st Infantry Division's 33rd Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Riley after completing basic training at Camp Chaffee, Ark. Howard W. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Keith Phillips, Route 2, Centerville, is in advanced infantry training with the 4th Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, a unit noted for its Normandy and Bastogne fame in World War II. Phillips enlisted in December 1955 and trained at Camp Chaffee before arriving at Fort Hood.

Jay Argo Dies of Heart Attack Tuesday
Jay Humes Argo, 67, longtime resident of the Iconium area, died suddenly about 4:00 Tuesday evening from heart failure after a brief illness. Born November 12, 1889, he was married September 1, 1912, to Mary Verda Kelsey. Surviving are his wife, seven children and 26 grandchildren. Funeral services at 2:00 Friday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. W. F. Evans. interment in Moravia Hillcrest Cemetery.
