Clinton Burch son of Mrs Anna Burch and Miss Minnie Cooper youngest daughter of Ashley Cooper married Saturday at 8 30 in Toledo Ohio The groom is assistant superintendent at Hardy Paint and Color Company Toledo The ceremony was witnessed by Mr and Mrs Anderson former vice president of the company The couple from Mooresville will reside in Toledo The Times wishes them happiness
Mr Mark O Adams and Mrs Bertha Morgan Mills were married at 8 oclock Tuesday evening June 76th at the bride's brother D C Morgan home in Camby Indiana The Rev Simon N Hester of the Friends church officiated Present were Miss Esther Milhous cousin of the bride of Bridgeport and Miss Bess Longsdon and Mr Omer J Lydy of Mooresville The couple plan a trip through the east then reside in Mooresville after July 15.
Two west Main street citizens borrowed a rig to tour the countryside last Sunday. They found corn growing nicely and were surprised by the fine condition of the wheat oats and grass. Most stands of wheat were good and grass and oats were among the best in years. The late planted corn could yield well with proper work.
Mr and Mrs W F Hadley gave a six o clock dinner Saturday for Prof and Mrs B R Henley of Kansas Ills and Prof and Mrs Edmund Albertson of Plainfield Mr Albertson will move to Whittier Cal by early August to teach at Whittier College The M E church children day exercises Sunday evening drew full seating and aisles James Baldock and Mr Robards visited to see Baldock daughter Helen visiting Marguerite and Edna Sage
Otto N. Yeager who led eighth grade and Manual Training has been elected head of the Mechanical Drawing department in Gary schools at 1200 per year. This promotion reflects the Mooresville Board of Education's sound judgment and earns state-wide acknowledgment for its teachers.
Miss Mary Rushton of Monrovia visited her aunt Mrs Chauncey Wilson and relatives in Martinsville and Monrovia. Weather discussion notes rain hinders farm work though helps weeds. Rev Thos Brown hosts Dick Otts Rushville family for a weekend visit. Mrs Bass hosts a porch party for Mrs Woodward of Grant's Pass with games moving pictures and refreshments.
The Times notes Prof A C Payne will stay as Mooresville School Superintendent for at least one more year. He and his family have endeared themselves to residents, with praise from state officials and a reputation for improving the district.
Miss Kathleen Lindley resigns from the English department at Mooresville High School. The board hires Miss Thurry Parker of Terre Haute, Indiana, with six years of academic preparation and a high scholarship record. Grace Kincaid of Franklin College is chosen for the fifth grade, replacing Nellie Glover who resigned to attend State Normal.
