Harmount's Uncle Tom's Cabin Show Comes to Mooresville

Harmount Co presents the largest Uncle Tom's Cabin tour with 35 performers a concert band and ten bloodhounds including Ben and Baker. Aimed at a first class production with lifelike set pieces life on a southern plantation and slave market scenes. Free band concert precedes show with seating for 3 500 and tickets at 15 and 25 cents. Show grounds Booker's on east Washington St Thursday June 8.

Memorial Day Observed With Flowers At Mooresville

Memorial day honors observed with baskets of flowers placed on soldiers' graves. Mooresville and nearby Brooklyn band members provided music while Rev. J W McFall delivered an address. Local notices include bakery and grocery ads and multiple community visits and events across town.

Rev Edgin spoke at the M E Church last Sunday on The Man behind the Bar vs the Alan Behing the Bars. He urged against legalized liquor and condemned the saloon for crime pauperization and loss of public confidence. The talk drew praise for his experience as a prison chaplain and engaging delivery, with musical interludes praised by attendees.
