Robbery near Chalmers targets Martin home and shop
Thieves broke into the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Martin on James McCormick's property last Saturday evening, stealing five bushels of clover seed, flour, sugar, silverware, an inset diamond, clothing, and an Oldfield tire from the Auto Tire Shop on Main Street. Bloodhounds traced the trail from Danville, Illinois, but the stolen goods have not yet been recovered.

Six Men Indicted. Three Arrests Made in Monon
A White County grand jury returned six indictments during a four day session ad journed Monday. George Helfrick and Alfred G. Robinson of Monon pled guilty to gaming charges and fines totaled $35.20 and $55.40 respectively. Three indictments remain, jury visited the county farm and recommended improvements. Foreman Frank Pettit signed the report noting no county jail awaiting trial and no public official misconduct.
