The American Legion Auxiliary held a Tuesday meeting at the Legion hall with a school of instruction for 15 committee chairmen and officers. Delegates and alternates were chosen for the district convention at Cascade on Sept 30. Olin Unit shows 87 members toward a 93 member goal by Oct 20. Various social notes and obituaries follow.

Carstensens Buy Ranch Home in Brown's Addition
Mr and Mrs John Carstensen purchase a three bedroom ranch with attached garage from Howard Brown. The home lies in Brown's addition just north of August Hansen's residence. The Carstens had previously lived on the Charles Novotny farm. L C Peckosh and his mother Mrs John Peckosh returned after visiting in Cresco with the Lumir Peckosh family. Thursday visitors to Robert O Connor's home included Mrs Mary O Connor of Mt Pleasant and Mrs Jack Walker of California. Mrs O Connor will winter with her two daughters in California.
