Center Jct. eight-year-old Boyd Smith suffered severe multiple injuries when a car hit the ATC Honda he rode as a passenger. The Sept. 4 crash near Center Jct. sent Smith to Mercy hospital Cedar Rapids in critical condition. later listed as fair. Driver Robert J. Ahrendsen 12 Anamosa had minor injuries. Ahlrichs Buick damage estimated at 250 dollars. A separate Sept. 2 incident near Onslow injured Neal Paulsen 11 Onslow after his Honda motorcycle collided with a pickup driven by Doug A. Brown Monmouth. Paulsen was thrown into a ditch and hospitalized.
