Auto Demolition Fatality Sparks Driver Search
Authorities seek driver of a 1962 Pontiac after a car found demolished Saturday 0.4 mile north of Jets 151 64 and 428 on Highway 151. William Hulbert of Eldon identified as the driver. The crash occurred at 9:55 a.m.. the vehicle left the road, crossed 750 feet, hit a cement culvert, flew 22 feet, and landed in a drainage ditch. charges pending.

One Car Crash Probed Near Anamosa Iowa
Investigation continues into a Saturday night one car crash 3.4 miles northeast of Anamosa on Jones county road E-23. Driver John K Kuhns 20 Anamosa said he swerved to ditch to avoid an older eastbound vehicle. Damage to a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner estimated at $200 plus possible engine damage. Kuhns suffered a head bump but refused medical aid. Highway patrolman Tom Toner investigated.

Cars collide on South Sycamore in Monticello
Two cars collided on South Sycamore street in Monticello Saturday at 11 50 a m. Ruth A Ganfield 53 Monticello was traveling south while Patricia A Heller 27 Hopkinton backed from a parking place. Damages were 225 for Ganfield and 30 for Heller. No charges filed. Police Chief John Cook investigated.
