No Babies Die At Monticello John McDonald Nursery
At Monticello John McDonald Memorial Hospital no infant has died from a nursery disease. Miss Myrtle Ross reports 242 births last year with 142 boys and 100 girls, averaging about 21 births monthly. The nursery holds 12 to 16 newborns, uses mother name tags, no visitors, and shows babies at 3:30 and 8:15 daily. Mothers and babies stay about five and a half days now, with modern drugs and equipment on hand.
