Privates Clay L. and Clayton Jr Powers of Monticello have been selected for the Army clerk typist school of the 5th armored division at Camp Chaffee Arkansas. The eight week course covers typewriting army filing system military correspondence publications personnel records and reports.
The Monti City Council met in regular session with Mayor Lambert presiding. Minutes approved. Bills approved including payments to the Federal Reserve Bank Postmaster Iowa Electric Co N W Bell Telephone and several police and city staff members.
