Demise of John Cecil Corbit at age ten in Onslow
John Cecil Corbit eldest son of Hugh and Agnes Corbit died March 2 1910 at home in Clay township after a brief illness at 10 years 18 months and 12 days He was born April 8 1891 in Clay township and lived on the farm He showed strong study and curiosity and had recently visited Saskatchewan before typhoid hospitalization in Brandon hospital He died after brain abscess following earache grippe and illness The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Onslow with Rev S B McClelland leading and burial in Wyoming cemetery He leaves five sisters and a wide circle of friends and neighbors mourn his loss. he had recently joined Bethel church and was esteemed by all
