Dessert Luncheon and Reading Program at Local Club
Bow Knot Club met February 22 at 1230 pm with 15 members answering roll call on My Favorite Winter Pastime. Readings included Marie's Teachers Nancy McCormick Joint Owners in Spain Reatha Rix Goldilocks and the Three Bears Dorothy Blake. Guests were Mrs Dee Hansen and children Cindy Hay Ross Henderson and Nancy Nebergall. Blayney-Miner Unit 412 A L A S met February 20 at Legion hall with 12 members. Rehabilitation chair Sara Jane Frazier reported sending 10 dozen cookies and 25 pocket novels to Clinton Domiciliary Center and a gift to a hospitalized veteran. The unit voted to sponsor the local house to house Red Cross drive. A work meeting February 23 sewed 23 lbs carpet rags and painted memorial crosses. The unit will hold a rummage sale March 29 30 and 31 with Hilda Swrry and Ruth Newcomb in charge.
