Scotch Grove Legion Hall Dance and Fourth Picnic Plans
A Scotch Grove Legion Hall event drew a good crowd with a farm bureau meeting preceding a program. A July Fourth picnic was decided, plus a new three month program committee led by Director Streets. The evening featured Lyle Thompson tenor solos with Dorothy Dreibelbis on piano, a Century of Progress talk by A Coxsee, Oltman sisters musical skit, egg marketing talk by Mr Skott, and vocal solo by Lara Hanna. Community guests and local visits followed. The newsletter notes wind drift to Hopkinton and outlines Fourth of July picnic plans at the mill with races, music, a speaker likely A B Kline, and noon potluck.
