Monticello Seeks Bids for City Improvement 1914
The city council of Monticello Iowa invites proposals for an improvement project. Bid bonds and certified checks accompany proposals and are returned to unsuccessful bidders upon award. The winning bidder must enter a contract with bond of 87000 with approved sureties and guarantee two years of good repair after completion. If the bidder fails to contract and bond, the bid’s certified check is forfeited. The council may reject all bids. The notice is dated February 4 1914 and signed by City Clerk.
