State Fish and Game Warden Hinshaw works with Hamilton County farmers to create a 20 000 acre state stocked permanent game preserve. Farmers sign to prohibit hunting on their lands forever while 6 000 pairs Hungarian partridges and ringneck pheasants will be released to stock the preserves for ongoing wildlife.
The North Iowa District Fair association is formed with officers led by President A. L. Ames of Traer and Vice President J. W. Ford of Cedar Falls. G. H. Holcombe serves as secretary and Ira Rodamar as treasurer. Directors include G. W. Dickinson George Thomas C. R. Hutchson Matt Wyth F. D. Bailey E Hearst and R. M. Gunn. The first fair is planned for next fall on grounds between Waterloo and Cedar Falls.
