Theisen Farm and Home Supplies owner Jim Theisen announced the Monticello store opening. Hearing on low cost housing ends with unanimous aye
The Monticello council held a hearing on a proposed low cost housing project with no objectors. The resolution of intent was adopted by all present, including Councilmen Savage Arduser Durst Hargrave and Giegerich, with Kaiser absent. Carl Webber said the HUD application can proceed. Also, Hargrave reported a second bid for auditorium drapes. bids from Hargrave Furniture and Iowa State Industries were discussed but not decided. The council terminated Water Tower Paint & Repair contract by certified letter. Mayors and clerks attended, plus City Attorney Strittmatter.
