Monticello Publishing Names Three Heads to Run Monticello Express
Monticello Publishing Co. announces active management by three department heads led by president H. M. Jones who remains publisher. Production superintendent Bob Goodyear business manager Ken Moats and editor Betty Wagner will oversee operations with no personnel or policy changes planned. Jones also pursues Publishers Idea Exchange begun in June 1969, a service for newspapers agencies and stores across the U S Canada and Mexico. Goodyear joined the Express in 1954 as a part timer while in high school and later became full time after graduation.

Four civil suits filed in Jones County court developments
In Jones County court last week four new civil suits were filed and several hearings held. J. H. Rickels seeks 4500 and a landlord lien against Rex Rickels for rent on 155 acres in Rome township with an oral lease from 1971 and a confirming written agreement later. Anamosa Feed Mills sues Don Bertling for 420.09 plus interest and costs for goods and services. Farmers Lime Co. sues Bertling for 265.01 plus interest and costs for merchandise. Anamosa Body Shop seeks 109 plus costs from Mervin Sisco for services.
