Community fund drive backs special education aims in Jones County

Jones County groups and individuals pledge over 500 for retarded children education but warn more funds are needed to avoid taxpayer support. Plan faces challenges including qualified teachers central classroom sites transport and parental awareness. Sirkelbachs Plan New Farm House

The Howard Zirkelbach family on a 240 acre farm 214 miles northeast of Center Junction plans to build a new house next year after extensive remodeling. They raise about 500 hogs and 200 beef cattle annually with a 314 year old daughter Barbara Dawn and a flock of chickens tended by Mrs. Zirkelbach. The first person to identify the farm was Jack Naylor of Scotch Grove, with others named including Mrs. Donald Clark and Ed Zirkelbach.
