Mrs Margaret A Sutherland died at home in Monticello July 25. Glenn Aldrich and wife welcomed a son born July 28. Margaret Behrends wedding to Julius Mueller July 22 in Iowa City. August 6 John Hoult took control of Monticello city service station. Major farm accidents include Adam Buol burned by steam engine blast. Epworth League sent large delegation to Clear Lake Institute and won pennant. Jones County Fair set for Aug 25-28 with premiums. Several births and local shippings noted along with railroad excursion to Amana society. Charlotte Hogg obituary listed in Delaware county.
