Carrie Blake Culver longtime Monticello resident died at John McDonald hospital on Sunday April 22. Funeral services were at Goettsch Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 30 officiated by Rev. Wm Grassheim. Interment followed in Oakwood cemetery. She was born in Richland township Jones county in 1876, daughter of Richard and Carrie Blake. her parents and brother Richard Blake preceded her. She left no immediate relatives.

Louis Schneider 72 died April 17 at Manitou Minnesota after a long Iowa life. He visited Monticello a month, then lived in Manitou for 20 years. He married Emma Slauson and they had an adopted daughter who is dead. Survivors include sisters Mrs. Reuben Ely Mrs. Carl Brazelton and Mrs. Fred Starks.
