New officers were elected for the coming year for the Woman's club at Center Junction led by President Maxine Von Spreecken and a slate including Luella Jamieson Irma Sanford Alice Naylor Jean Balster Mary Lou Guthrie and Marietta Stanton.
Mr and Mrs Harold Heidemann and sons visited the Reinhart Helmrichs in Manchester Tuesday evening. Mrs Eleanor Wilkins of Ames spent Easter weekend with the Jack Smith family and accompanied her daughter and granddaughter back to Ames. Mrs Ruth Buck and Julie of Dun Dee NL stayed Tuesday through Saturday with her mother Gladys McNeilly. About 50 people from Scotch Grove and Center Junction attended an open house at the manse for Rev Herbert Moise and family on Sunday March 25.
Mrs. Edwin Knight will serve as April hostess for the Scotch Grove Presbyterian Ladies Aid society with Mrs. Paul Paulsen and Mrs. Mae Himebaugh as assistants. The venue will be announced later. No special Easter observance was held in the local church as members participated in other activities.
All parish sacred concert held on Palm Sunday at Peniel church Castle Grove. Mr and Mrs R A Naylor hosted an Easter family dinner Sunday honoring guests. Schools enjoyed brief Easter vacation before resuming work on Tuesday.
Monticello residents report Miss Marian Clark of Clinton as a guest Thursday at her aunt Miss Carrie Clark home. Mr and Mrs George Harris visited Easter weekend with their son Stanley at Ames.
