Wagon accident injures two men in alley tumble
On Wednesday Jimmie Gillmore and Alex Lestie driven wagon broke its shafts near Johnston and Co. Harv ey Kohr suffered leg and arm bruises while Jimmie Gillmore escaped with a scalp wound after the wagon overturned in the alley. Bert Cornwell dodged the runaway carriage.

Picnic Party At Turkey Run With Local Youth
Two auto loads of young people picnicked at Turkey Run on Saturday. Drowned Bloomingdale Youth in Lake Michigan Tragedy
R C Harlan sixteen son of Mr and Mrs Oscar Harlan of Bloomingdale drowned in Lake Michigan Sunday. He and about twenty naval apprentices were in a cutter when a storm capsized them. Eleven others were reported drowned. He had joined the naval training station sixty days ago. The district mourns a fourth local youth claimed in a month.

Mrs. Morris Dies at Forty Two in Dana Area
Mrs. James Morris, aged forty two, died Sunday night south of Dana and was buried at Chrisman Indiana. She leaves a husband and six children. One daughter married Dock Joslin of this place. The Morris family lived here for some time. Mr. Morris worked at Snake Hollow brick plant.
