Mr and Mrs C S Overman who lived here for nearly thirty years moved last week to their new home in Detroit Mich They built a house and lived in the town He served the town as editor and manager of the local paper for nearly seven years He also was in the machine business and stayed active in all endeavors The community wishes them well and believes they will find success and new friends in Detroit
Mr Harry Reeder and Miss Bernice Acree of Danville Illinois were united in marriage in Indianapolis on October 1 1919 with Dr A F Deinkel performing the ceremony They returned to Montezuma for a few days then will move to Kansas where Mr Reeder has a job The couple will be missed by many friends and the Enterprise extends best wishes.
James Frakes completes a full clean up of his barber shop with new wallpaper and a bright, refreshed interior. He declares it “full house cleaning time” and invites patrons to visit the upgraded space.
A notice from the post office urges recipients who ordered groceries to wait for notification before collection. Orders placed earlier will be fulfilled first. some items may be scarce and funds held. Walter Rierson P M signs the message.
A scheduled game between West Union and the SE Negroes was postponed due to rain last Sunday. It will be played next Sunday at Juson on the Harry Wolfe field at 2:30 PM if the weather is suitable. If not, attendees are advised to stay away as the rain may force cancellations.

The ball game between our boys and Hillsdale on Monday evening ended in a home victory. Rain fell Sunday leaving grass green and growing, promising good fall pasture though rainfall for plowing remains insufficient. Amory residents who renewed or became subscribers recently include A. Frank Akers and his wife were honored with a traditional old time charivari at their home on Monday night. About thirty friends gathered, waking them with a loud lively shower of noise and well wishes.
J T Lewis living near Linebarger Chanel renewed his Enterprise subscription and directed delivery to his daughter Mrs Lillie Riley near Rockville. He praised the paper as the kind of man needed to help make the publication a success.
Representatives of the Prairie Farmer collect data in Edgar County to publish a Farmers and Breeders Directory. The firm previously issued one directory for Edgar County Illinois, noting it as a valuable work and securing a copy at the time.
The Enterprise Job Printing Department reports about three weeks of heavy work for firms including the O R S A Hillsdale acting secretary Ek W Sutton CG W Agent, Montezuma Machine Works, Pitman Son's Garage, George Mathas Son, Montezuma Garage, and A F Stewart barber. Over 40 000 impressions were made along with ruled sale sheets cards tags envelopes and note and receipt books.
Farmers in Illinois report severe losses from hog cholera with hogs killed and hauled away. The disease spreads rapidly after new corn feeding, discouraging producers across Holgar County.
The Church of Christ holds morning worship at 10 30 and Sunday Evening services at 8 03. Sunday School starts at 10 00 A M and a prayer meeting is held Thursday evening at 8 00. Linebarger Chapel also offers Sabbath School every Sunday at 10 30 A M.
The Christian Church announces services on the second Sunday of each month at 11:00 AM and 7:30 PM. Regular worship focuses on communal teaching and reflection.
