Montezuma Minstrel Aggregation Presents Christmas Cheer Benefit
The Montezuma Minstrel group performs Friday night December 19 offering slapjack style sketches and a male double quartet with songs. Proceeds go to the Christmas Cheer fund for the tree for children, promising laughs and uplift for all attendees.
Hunters Sack Three Wild Geese In Wheat Field
Saturday morning a group of five men led by Prior Warner ignored warnings and entered Joe Mankin’s wheat field to shoot wild geese with pump guns. They killed three of a flock of about fifteen as the birds attempted to take flight. the killings marked the first in some time despite geese feeding in the area each spring and fall.

Shooting match at West Union Gun Club to day
A shooting match is held today by the West Union Gun Club one mile east of West Union. An oyster supper and Thanksgiving entertainment follow at the Coloma school house tonight with no admission charged and a good time promised for all attendees.

Saturday evening Mr Harry Becker and Mrs Nelle Fullen wider wed at the M E Parsonage with Rev A L Miller officiating. After the ceremony the couple returned to a furnished home as friends offered many useful gifts. Mrs Fulden wider is known in the community as daughter of Richard Bailey the night watchman and recently left her post as assistant postmaster. Mr Becker came from Springfield Missouri about a year ago to work as foreman for Montezuma Sand and Gravel Company pits east of town.

A Clintonian article says Harry Hood a Hillsdale area suspect was arrested in Clinton on a suspected plan to fire a Hillsdale saloon. Witness William Watts claimed Hood offered $50 to start the blaze with others. no fire occurred and Hood was released after questioning.
