Mrs. Laura Machledt Dies After Long Illness in Montezuma
Laura Ann Moore Machledt wife of Charles Machledt died at home after months of illness in Montezuma aged 67. Born in Porter County Indiana January 3 1856 she married in 1880 and left eight children, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral at M E Church led by Rev J C Whitson burial Oakland Cemetery conducted by O L Brown & Son.

Annual Meeting of Free Holiness Mission in Montezuma
The Free Holiness Mission Church held its annual meeting in Montezuma Indiana on June 23 1923. Opening songs were sung and prayers offered by Brothers Davis and Tomlinson. A M Tomlinson of Tangier was elected State Superintendent, Alice Caldwell State Secretary, Whittock State Treasurer, with Whitlock Gash and Davis named to the State Board. Local officers include Ted Plank treasurer Sisters Bennett and Ted Plank on the standing committee and Mrs Cora Davis as organist.

Sister Harrell’s Healing Meetings In Harlem Church
The New York Tribune reports Sister Harrell leading gatherings in Harlem among Black residents.
