The Montezuma Dancing Club hosted a dance at Montgomery Hall last Friday with seventeen to eighteen attendees. Music was by Turner and Thomas of Terre Haute. three numbers were ladies choice. refreshments included sandwiches coffee and doughnuts.

Mrs Hugh Montgomery learned Saturday night that her father is seriously ill at their winter home in Preston Georgia. Hugh left for Michigan on business and will join his wife in West Montezuma on the way to Preston. They hope for his improvement upon arrival.

A Parke and Vermillion counties delegation urged a joint House Senate committee to divide the 47th circuit. The plan would give each county its own judge and prosecutor, aiming to benefit both counties in the new arrangement.
Dr. O A Newhouse and Wallace Laverty traveled to Indianapolis Tuesday and returned Wednesday with Leon Laverty to Methodist hospital for examination by Dr. Kimberlin. Physicians could not diagnose his ailment and asked to bring him back in May for state board review.
