Bridge Reopens As 97-Year-Old Dr. Hudson Leads Crossing
The Wabash river bridge reopened Tuesday about 2 30 pm after six weeks of closure. Dr B F Hudson aged 97 the town's oldest citizen rode in the first car driven by A J Miles with Ralph Johnston photographing. Hudson first crossed the bridge 31 years ago at its initial opening. The new 650 foot bridge has three 200 foot spans and one 50 foot span with a higher 16 inch floor and fresh painting nearing completion.
