Parke County Fair Announces Premium List and Rules
The Rockville Fair ushers in September dates with a $1343 cash premium pool. Exhibitors must reside in Parke County or on qualifying farms. no entry fees or housing costs are charged. Livestock entries open early with cattle in nine beef and eight dairy classes, swine in eight classes, and horse, poultry, farm product, and domestic arts divisions. Catalogues available by Sept 1. secretary Fuller R Huffman to be notified for entries and housing plans.

Death of William E Hesler at 59 in Rockville area
William Edward Hesler died August 17 1921 at his home east of town after long illness. Born August 10 1862 near Judson Parke County Indiana he married Jane Pinegar April 22 1885 and had nine children: Harry Fred Robert Charley Frank Lottie Lena Catherine all living except Cecil deceased six brothers and sisters survive including Geo Heslar John Gesier Mrs Mary Leatherman Mrs Odessa Glover and Mrs Gera Moore. He was not a church member but showed strong Christian virtues and lived a humble life.

Community Mourns Local Resident at Coloma Funeral
A longtime resident died after years of illness. He faced hardship with fortitude and left a family that cared for him devotedly. The funeral was held Thursday at the Friends church in Coloma with Rev. S K Fuson of Rockville officiating. Burial followed in Rockville Cemetery.
