James B. Elliott Dies at 64 in Oakland Cemetery Burials

James B. Elliott aged 64 died at 10 A M Wednesday at his sister in law Mrs Clara Elliott home after a two week illness. A New York native he was a longtime Brick Plant worker known for his quiet friendly nature. Burial planned in Oakland Cemetery with details pending.

Surprise 14th Birthday Party For Hazel George

A surprise party was hosted Tuesday at Mr and Mrs Frank George home for their daughter Hazel to celebrate her fourteenth birthday. Friends gathered and the Former Brothers of Gillsdale provided music as guests enjoyed cake and ice cream and wished Hazel many more happy birthdays.

An Indiana state Near East Relief report shows about 190000 pounds of clothing equaling nine carloads and grain gifts totaling 8241.42 dollars. Montgomery County led in corn gifts with nearly 2000 bushels. Muncie donated canned milk worth about 1000 dollars. Ed Jackson, state chairman, praises donors while noting the shortfall of the quota.
