Wand sentenced to life in prison in Argyle brothers case

In Lafayette County Circuit Court judge Thomas Vale sentenced 19 year old Jeremy Wand to life with a 35 year minimum for the deaths of three boys, after denying his request to withdraw guilty pleas. Wand’s parole eligibility is not guaranteed, with potential release not until his mid 50s in 2047. The case, which also involved his brother Armin Wand, has seen multiple twists over the past year.

Woman killed as tree falls on car in Shawano storm

Severe storms with 90 to 100 mph winds damaged homes in Shawano and Menominee counties. A tree fell on a woman’s vehicle in Keshena killing her. About a dozen Bonduel homes were damaged and 20,000 plus utility customers lost power. A nursing home fire prompted evacuation of around 13 residents. NWS attributes most damage to straight-line winds.

Wisconsin Exchages expected to offer multiple insurance plans
