Police blotter highlights in Wisconsin towns

Bobbi Jo Celeste, 19, of Sturtevant was cited for driving without proof of insurance on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township at 10:25 p.m. Saturday Aug. 17. A Gratiot incident reports disorderly conduct in the 5000 block of Main Street at 12:37 a.m. Friday Aug. 16. A found set of keys on County Shop Road in Darlington Township was reported at 10:52 a.m. Friday Aug. 16. A deputy took a report of animals damaging property on Rooster Road in Benton Township at 12:50 p.m. Friday Aug. 16. A barking dog complaint was dispatched to Shullsburg at 2:28 a.m. Saturday Aug. 17. A hit and run involving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Chris J Hellvogt, 31, Elizabeth, Ill., was reported at 12:40 p.m. Saturday Aug. 17 and remains under investigation. The damage was noticed after the truck was parked in Argyle. Speeding motorcycles were reported in Fayette at 3:53 p.m. Saturday Aug. 17. An extra patrol was planned for the area. A deputy assisted Green County authorities at 2:29 p.m. Sunday Aug. 18 in locating a suspect believed to be at a residence in Seymour Township, but the person was not located.

Emmi Roth Hosts Six Instructors for Wisconsin Cheese Immersion

Emmi Roth USA welcomed six culinary instructors to a Wisconsin Cheese Immersion at its creamery and Culinary Education Center from July 30 to August 3. The program coincided with the 30th annual American Cheese Society Conference in Madison and featured hands on cheesemaking, Raclette challenges, and blue cheese tastings. Participants included Daryl Nosek FMP, Chris Bugher, Colin Roche PhD, Michelle Gaw, J Claire Menck, and Todd Barrios, with ACS events and a L Etoile dinner enhancing industry ties.

Wisconsin privacy bill advances in Legislature on social media passwords

A bipartisan Wisconsin measure to bar employers, schools, and landlords from demanding passwords or user names for personal social media accounts moves ahead. A Senate committee set a Tuesday hearing after an Assembly hearing in May, with potential floor action next month. The bill would protect employees, students, and tenants and would permit some on‑site monitoring while prohibiting retaliation for refusals.
