Roberts has served nine years. Ballots show For recall or Against recall and results will be released Friday by the Democratic committee.

In Trumann Arkansas on September 13, more than 100 men hunted for seven hours before locating two year old Alvin Douglas Martin crying and shivering in a rain swept cornfield. He wandered from his parents while cotton picking. his four year old sister was found soon after. Police, scouts and residents aided the search as a heavy rain began.

Wade O. Martin Sr, acting chair of the sixth district Democratic committee, said a primary election to fill the state supreme court vacancy from the district will probably be held October 18. Two men Bertie L. Oliphant about 40 and Floyd D. Andrews 65 were killed instantly when their car collided head on with a butane truck eight miles west of Rayville on U S Highway 180. R J Beach 40 of Rayville was injured and taken to St. Francis Sanitarium. The crash occurred near Crow Lake bridge as Oliphant car crossed the center line then was destroyed. Investigating officers say the Oliphant vehicle left the road and cut into the truck’s path.
