Former Monroe Woman Dies In Crash Near Clarksdale
Former Monroe resident Mrs. Leona Woods Rogers of Carthage Texas died in an auto truck collision near Clarksdale Mississippi Tuesday afternoon. Driver James Chicorelli of Clarksdale also died. Rogers’ husband Edd Luther Rogers was hospitalized with a broken leg and head cuts. The crash happened in heavy rain on U S 61 about three miles south of Clarksdale at 555 p.m.. no witnesses identified and investigation pending.
