Sherman Bank Robbery Staged by Lone Bandit
In Tupelo Mississippi on September 1 a single armed bandit robbed the Bank of Sherman in Sherman, about 12 miles from Tupelo, of 391 dollars. The thief, described as five feet eight, medium build, wore overalls and a snap straw hat, escaped in a small coupe toward New Albany and Memphis after ordering cashier W T Brown into the vault.
