Wounded One Robber Official Shoots Self in Heart
OCALA Fla Oct 23 H W Hoffman cashier of the Bank of Citra which closed Saturday killed himself at the home of his wife's parents at Anthony near here with a .45 calibre pistol. He had previously thwarted a 1926 bank robbery by leaping from behind the counter and firing through a wooden partition wounding one of the robbers. The other robber escaped but was later captured. The bonding company rewarded his bravery with a watch and chain.

Well Known Old Time Resident Dies at Monroe
One of Monroe's oldest citizens, Mrs Louise G Bracey aged 81, died at 1 30 this morning at her Jackson street home after a long illness. A Tennessee native, she lived in Marion Louisiana with her husband Dr James Bracey and helped raise three nieces and nephews after longtime guardianship.

In Flagstaff Arizona on October 23 a man identified as Sam Campbell shot his wife and neighbor Wilbur Carlos with a shotgun and then killed himself. Elm er Carlos, Wilbur’s brother, was injured in a car crash while rushing for a doctor. Mrs Campbell had fled to the Carlos home reporting threats with a shotgun.

N. O. Woman Falls From Balcony While Asleep
New Orleans, Oct 23 Miss Emma M Hood 20 walked in her sleep from a balcony at the Social Workers home on St Charles avenue and fell 25 feet breaking both ankles. She was removed to a hospital after her screams alerted the neighborhood.
