Pittsburgh October incident ends with Richard Cullen a 22-year-old machinist taken into custody after attempting to jump onto a running board of an automobile carrying President Wilson. He was examined and ordered to Mayview for further sanity observation. Cullen denied intent to harm the president, claiming dissatisfaction with foreign policy and a desire to express that sentiment.
Police report a bottle of liquid in a bag carried by Cullen tested as medicine. The bag also contained a five inch blade knife and several wood chisels. Cullen attends night classes at a local technical institute and works days at a steel company.
Atlanta will host the Southern Medical Association gathering November 13 to 16 with renowned clinicians from Johns Hopkins Washington University and Tulane among others. The program blends lectures with hands on hospital demonstrations as top physicians join Atlanta staff in the field. about two thousand doctors are expected.

At a directors meeting of Ouachita National Bank Thursday night Fred Millsaps was appointed assistant cashier. Existing assistant cashier Fred Gibbs will not be superseded. The appointment, intended for January 1, became urgent due to Gibbs’ absence after a serious operation. Millsaps, son of the bank’s first cashier T. F. Millsaps, is a major stockholder and has held multiple bank positions over six years.
Blanchard and Foster criticized the state taxing system during a Federal Court judge led discussion. The exchange highlighted concerns over tax structure and authority, with emphasis on fairness and statutory reach.

Petrograd reports General von Mackensen attacked Russian Romanian lines in Dobrudja. The clash cost the attackers the village of Kokardja, while waterborne assaults on Entente lines in the same region were repulsed.
