A masked gunman forced a Blount National Bank teller to fill a canvas bag with 16000 dollars and fled with two hostages. The hostages were released unharmed after being taken to a river where they were made to row to a middle point. The getaway car was later found abandoned eight miles away.

Body Of Fifth Victim Found In River Near Pocahontas
The body of Bobby Joe Tollett a 16 year old from Huntington Indiana was recovered from the Current river six miles north of Pocahontas. He rode in a car driven by A F Donaldson Sr 67 of Glenwood whose body and three young sisters were found still in the car. The crash occurred Tuesday night when Donaldson's car sped through barricades as the bridge was being widened.

Vaccaro Convicted On Drug Count In Texas Court
A federal grand jury re indicted John J. Vaccaro a New Orleans nightclub owner on four counts of possession and transportation of narcotics. He allegedly tried to smuggle marijuana from Mexico and was captured after a high speed chase in the Rio Grande Valley. Vaccaro faced a prior trial in Laredo where a hung jury led to a dismissal.
