Farmers, dairymen and others plan trips from Monroe to the Memphis dairy show as railroads arrange special trains. The Missouri Pacific departs October 16 at 11 59 p.m. with two sleepers, arriving October 17 morning. Illinois Central also runs a Monroe to Memphis service leaving 8 40 p.m. October 16 and arriving at 6 a.m. next day. The event features 5000 in prizes, five days of racing from Monday to Friday with 164 nominations for four $1000 races and additional $100 purses. grandstand seats are free and three races are run daily.

Negress Bonded on Prohi Charge in Mississippi City
Chaney Floyd of 520 Congo Street was placed under a $300 cash bond after a federal commissioner ordered the bond. Police raided 320 Congo Street finding about two and a half cases of beer and two gallons of wine. Floyd took responsibility for the supply. parents and sisters were not charged. Dr Gladden Out After Bull Attack on Farm
Dr A H Gladden of Columbia road spent twelve days confined after a Jersey bull charged him from behind, drove him against a fence, and battered him with broken ribs. He says dehorning likely saved his life as the animal, a valuable sire, had a dam that held an Iowa state two year old record.

Drunken Driving Charge Hits Crossett Ark Man
A Crossett Ark man identified as d. T. Peters was arrested for driving drunk after a collision at Pargood Street and Gordon Avenue. No injuries, two autos damaged, Peters' car tipped over. Mike Zarro of 1001 South Second Street reported Peters drove into him, Peters jailed after the wreck.

14 Year Old Lad Escapes Louisiana Institute
