U S Puts Brake On Climb Of Payments Deficit

Secretary of the Treasury Douglas Dillon told IMF and World Bank leaders that the United States has begun to arrest the rising payments deficit. He noted the deficit eased from a 1960 peak of 3.9 billion to 2.2 billion in 1962 and slowed after a 4.2 billion annual pace in early 1963. State Business Rises in August in Louisiana
