Aladdin cities rise near Washington for Shriners’ convention
Aladdin cities designed to house 30 000 to 40 000 people are springing up near Alexandria Virginia and Benning Eckington Maryland for the Shriners convention next week. Hundreds of Pullman cars serve as homes with their own water sewer systems playgrounds pubs police and fire departments. Dining cars operate day and night and shuttle trains run from the towns to Washington. Shriners from the South and Southwest without capital accommodations will stay at the Alexandria town.

Pipeline Project to Bring Gas to Alexandria
Hope Engineering Corp begins clearing land near Fairbanks and Splitlog to start a 2 million dollar pipeline from the Monroe gas field.
