A motor boat capsized on Bayou Shaffer when the engine failed near Morgan City Louisiana. Mrs Brown and two children aged one and two drowned while Mr Brown and Miss Guidry clung to a crib of piling and survived. The party had set out for a bayou visit when the engine stalled and the craft drifted into piling.
Chihuahua May 27 Mexican rebels rapidly run out of ammunition and blame the United States for halting exportation of arms. Ammunition scarcity is cited as a major reason for the retreat of insurgents before advancing federals.
