Workman Survives 25 Foot Fall Into Ouachita River

Captain Robert Dollar Dies After Illness at 88
CAPTAIN ROBERT DOLLAR, 88, veteran of shipping and lumber, died at his San Rafael home at 1 10 am after a two week illness. The so called grand old man of the Pacific had been in a coma 36 hours and suffered bronchial pneumonia following a severe cold. His family, including wife Mrs E Dollar and three sons Harold Stanley and Melville Dollar with their wives and children, watched at bedside as his end came.

Robert L. Hager, 25, killed when his car hit a telephone pole on North Third Street, was sent by rail to Nashville Tennessee. Mayor H. E. Howse, his uncle, reports his body arrived this morning. Funeral set for 2 30 p m Tuesday. Surviving: mother Mrs Delia Hager, uncle Mayor Howse, sister Mrs Benton Tollivar. James Harper accompanied the body. The wreck showed the steering gear failed and Hager tried to steer right as far as possible before impact.
